I started light work on level 3 still no level geometry yet but a completed rough draft

Peryil tries to figure out possible culprits for her father's murder. and Peryil remembers Blight Deathripper from the last chapter. steam at first dislikes the idea of invading his old savior (mostly because he is scared of Peryil being severely hurt if not killed). blight's magic strength is extremely high... high enough to rip mercury from its orbit and make it a moon of Jupiter and has been a thorn in the solar council's side for years. the level starts when Peryil lands on mercury. Peryil notes the gravity is higher than expected almost as strong as Earth. she suspects it is blight's doing but can't confirm it.

after going through an onslaught of traps Peryil makes it to what looks like a throne room. Blight is on a throne of sorts.

A heated discussion ensued in which Peryil ends up threatening blight. Blight responds by grabbing Peryil's right wing. and a vision of blight's past in which Cedric tortured her as a toddler with a fire whip. in which Ember Burnfeather sees the torture and launches Cedric back in which Cedric then kills ember. Peryil is taken aback by this, and blight gave her permission to interview other members of her crew...each one more horrifying than the last. the level ends with Peryil questioning everything. Steam manages to recover her determination to find Cedric's killer. Blight then telepathically states that the culprit could be one of his partners on the solar council. (yes, she can telepathically talk to anyone she has talked to in person within a range of the solar system this surprises Peryil as well)

I have made the level music and put it into the soundtrack. still working on the music for Blight. after this I am going to start making the sprite sheet for blight.
